Diary Weaving
Nine artists.
Six months.
A practice in noticing.
Like keeping a written diary, weaving can hold the ordinary alongside the significant.
Over six months, nine artists explored weaving as a way to notice, record, and respond to everyday life. Beginning with tapestry weaving as a common foundation, each artist developed their own approach to a sustained creative practice. The resulting works range from small records of individual days to accumulated compositions and sculptural forms, incorporating traditional fibers alongside unexpected and found materials.
What connects the work isn't a particular aesthetic or technique, but the act of returning, experimenting, and allowing time and experience to become visible through making.
