Diary Weaving: Reception, Performance & Artist talk

  • Open Book, 2nd floor 1011 South Washington Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55415 United States (map)

Reception for Diary Weaving Exhibit
Saturday, November 14, 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

  • 12:15 PM, Julia Meles and Fiona Adams will present here; now; together, an improvisational performance guided by an abstract score. Umbilically connected, the artists explore shared space as a womb, questioning what it means to connect and be connected. Developed during Julia's experience in the Diary Weaving cohort, the performance moves through different forms of attachment, intimacy, and presence. It invites viewers to reflect on how we show up for one another and the ways our connections endure, even in absence.

  • 1:00 PM Artist Talk

The Diary Weaving cohort-based project is created and facilitated by artist Jes Reyes. Featured art by Martha Bird.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
